Jaime Williams, PhD., R.Psych.

Clinical Psychologist

I am a registered doctoral psychologist,  with registered in Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan providing care via telehealth (online, video therapy) to adults from these three provinces and also in person care to clients in Vancouver. I practice Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy and and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, along with evidence-based trauma therapies such as Prolonged Exposure,  and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy for people experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder, depression and/or anxiety and for those who have a health concern with accompanying psychological symptoms.

I received my Ph.D. from the University of Regina in 2008 and completed a one-year predoctoral internship at the Queen Elizabeth-II Health Sciences Center in Halifax, NS. Both these programs are fully accredited from the Canadian Psychological Association. I was an Assistant Professor at the University of Regina (2016-2019) and have taught psychology at the undergraduate, graduate, and community levels. I have lots of work published in academic journals and for those of you who are interested and would like a copy of my academic CV, just send me a message and I will send it along to you.

For me, spirituality and knowledge of the true Self is the most important thing in life and I spend my days "researching" fundamental truths through meditation, plant medicine, the arts, and mindfulness. Mindfulness is one of my favorite things to explore with clients.
